Dishkiyaoon

                                                                 Dishkiyaoon
CASTING : SUNNY DEOL, HARMAN BAWEJA, ADITYA PANCHOLI,
ANAND TIWARI, RAJIT KAPOOR, PRASHANT NARAYANAN,
SHILPA SHETTY, AYESHA KHANNA
PRODUCED BY : SUNIL A. LULLA, SHILPA SHETTY
WRITTEN BY : SANAMJIT TALWAR
DIRECTED BY : SANAMJIT SINGH TALWAR
MUSIC BY : SNEHA KHANWALKAR,PALASH MUCHHAL
SYNOPSIS:    ‘Dishkiyaoon’ is a story of Viki (Harman Baweja),
whose mother died when he was a child and his father (Rajit Kapoor) didn’t spend enough time with him.
In his childhood, he gets humiliated in school and then he goes to one small gangster Mota Tony (Prashant Narayanan) and asks him for the help.
When he grows up, he decides to become a big gangster.
There is a big gangster Guitar (Rajesh Vivek), whom Viki keeps a check on to get all the info about him and eliminate him and take his place.
So what’s next? Does he become a big gangster? How he does it? Who helps him? This is the rest of the story.
 STORY, SCREENPLAY AND DIALOGUES:
The story written by Sanamjit Talwar is just as idiotic as you can’t think.
It’s embarrassing for Bollywood to have these types of writers.
The screenplay is extremely non-sense and confusing.
None of the characters are established well; even the writers have not bothered to develop the main lead character.
Dialogues are just crap.
 PERFORMANCES:
Sunny Deol has nothing much to offer in the film.
The actor is totally wasted in the movie and his fans will be definitely disappointed.
Harman Baweja makes his comeback onscreen after five years, but he didn’t learn acting and it is confirmed that he can’t act.
He should stop acting. Ayesha Khanna, who makes her debut with the film, is also pathetic.
She has only one still expression in the whole film.
Rest of the cast is just irritating.
DIRECTION, CINEMATOGRAPHY AND EDITING:    I think few people think that it’s a very easy job to become a director, even if you don’t know the ABC of direction.
This statement, which I have written above, is for the director of the film Sanamjit Talwar.
His direction is terrible and he has made sure that Harman can’t make a good comeback as an actor.
Axel Fischer’s cinematography is very poor.
It seems like where ever he wanted to place the camera, he just placed it.
Rameshwar S Bhagat’s editing is also very weak.
ACTION, BACKGROUND SCORE AND MUSIC:    The action in the film is nothing great and it seems to be outdated.
Amar Mohile’s background score and Palash Muchhal’s music is irritating.
CHOREOGRAPHY, LOCATIONS AND PRODUCTION VALUE:Choreography done by Ranju Verghese and Kadambari Shetty is strictly average.
Production Values are mediocre and the locations fail to attract the eyes.

MAIN TERA HERO

                                                             MAIN TERA HERO
CASTING : VARUN DHAWAN, ABHIMANYU SINGH, ILEANA D`CRUZ,                           NARGIS  FAKHRI, EVELYN SHARMA
PRODUCED BY : EKTA KAPOOR
WRITTEN BY : TUSHAR HIRANANDANI
DIRECTED BY : DAVID DHAWAN
MUSIC BY : WAJID ALI,SAJID ALI
SYNOPSIS:    ‘Main Tera Hero’ is about Seenu (Varun Dhawan), who stays in Ooty,
with his father (Manoj Pahwa) and his mother.
He is a spoilt brat, who fails every year.
People in his town are fed up of his mischievousness.
One day he leaves his town and goes to Bengaluru for studies.
There he meets Sunaina (Ileana D'Cruz) and falls in love with her.
But, Sunaina doesn’t show any interest in him because of Angad Negi (Arunoday Singh),
who is a police officer and madly loves Sunaina.
Because of Angad’s terror nobody even wants to get close to Sunaina and Sunaina is also afraid of him.
Angad comes to know about Seenu’s love for Sunaina and he challenges him, if he has daring then he should go and get Sunaina.
On the other hand, Ayesha Singhal (Nargis Fakhri), daughter of a gangster Vikrant Singhal (Anupam Kher) also starts loving Seenu.
One day Sunaina gets kidnapped.Who kidnaps Sunaina? How Seenu gets her back? What happens to Ayesha’s love for Seenu? This is the rest of the story.
 STORY, SCREENPLAY AND DIALOGUES:
The story of ‘Main Tera Hero’ is written by Tushar Hiranandani and it is totally idiotic and unbelievable.
It could have worked in the late 90’s or in the early 2000’s,
when David Dhawan and Govinda combination gave hits like ‘Coolie No. 1’, ‘Deewana Mastana’ and ‘Hero No. 1’.
But, in today’s era, where subject near to reality works and is mostly liked by the audiences,
this film is too far from reality.
Same goes for the screenplay and the dialogues of the film.
It seems like writers believed in writing a story, where people should leave brains at home.
It’s just a crap. Also every scene in the screenplay follows the other without any break.
This unable the audiences to understand or involve themselves in one particular scene.
Seenu’s character has been written keeping Govinda in mind and here is
the defeat of the writers because it’s almost impossible for Varun Dhawan to fit himself in Govinda’s place,
as Govinda’s comic timing is unmatchable even today.
 PERFORMANCES:
Varun Dhawan has been asked by his director father to copy Govinda, where he fails miserably.
In the scenes, where he performs in his own style, is ok.
He doesn’t have screen presence. Ileana D'Cruz is disappointing.
She didn’t even look good in the film.
Nargis Fakhri looks beautiful and adds perfect glamour required.
Anupam Kher is irritating. Saurabh Shukla, Manoj Pahwa and Rajpal Yadav are just ok.
Arunoday Singh is a good actor, but he doesn’t get much scope.
DIRECTION, CINEMATOGRAPHY AND EDITING:    David Dhawan is a good director and he has given many blockbusters in the past especially with Govinda.
But, he has to come out from the hangover of those movies,
as the new generation loves to watch comedies with logic and David Dhawan fails here.
Sanjay F Gupta’s cinematography is first rate and Nitin Rokade’s editing is very sharp.
ACTION, BACKGROUND SCORE AND MUSIC:    Mahendra Varma’s action is strictly ok and Sandeep Shirodkar’s background score is fine.
Two songs ‘Besharmi Ki Height’ and ‘Palat- Tera Hero Idhar Hai’ are quite famous.
Sajid-Wajid has done a decent job with the music.
CHOREOGRAPHY,
LOCATIONS AND PRODUCTION VALUE:Remo D’Souza and Bosco-Caesar’s choreography is very good.
Locations are fine and production value is high.

Bhoothnath returns

Bhoothnath

CASTING : AMITABH BACHCHAN, BOMAN IRANI,
ANURAG KASHYAP, SANJAY MISHRA, BRIJENDRA KALA,
PARTH BHALERAO, USHA JADHAV
PRODUCED BY : BHUSHAN KUMAR , KRISHAN KUMAR,
RENU RAVI CHOPRA
DIRECTED BY : NITESH TIWARI
SYNOPSIS:    ‘Bhoothnath Returns’ starts from where the prequel ‘Bhoothnath’ ended.
Bhoothnath (Amitabh Bachchan) goes to heaven and all the fellow ghosts start making fun of him that
he failed to scare a small child.
He feels embarrassed about it and he is sent back to earth to scare atleast 12 kids.
When he comes back to earth, he meets a fearless kid Akhrot (Parth Bhalerao).
They become business partners and they are asked to take out the spirits from a haunted house.
In return, they will be given a good amount.
In this period of time, they meet a corrupt politician Bhau (Boman Irani), who tells them to vacant a haunted house.
However, later Bhoothnath and Akhrot come to know about Bhau’s evil plans.
So, Bhoothnath decides to fight the local elections against him.
Will a ghost be able to fight the elections? Will he win over the corrupt politician Bhau?
This is the rest of the story.
STORY,
SCREENPLAY AND DIALOGUES:‘Bhoothnath Returns’ is a fresh concept and something which we have not seen in Bollywood films before.
Nitesh Tiwari and Piyush Gupta come up with a story that is unique.
They have finely converted the story into a good screenplay.
The movie has simple screenplay and it is not at all confusing.
The writers have written a sober and a family oriented drama, keeping children as well as adults in mind.
However, somewhere in between, the film drops because of its slow pace.
Even a few scenes seem to be repetitive like Akhrot trying to break the deal, to make business.
This particular part of the film looks unbelievable,
but when the audiences remember that a ghost is supporting him, it gets justified because a ghost can do anything.
Dialogues in the film are good and it makes the audience laugh.
PERFORMANCES:Amitabh Bachchan as Bhoothnath is perfect.
He has given a power packed performance and shines in each and every scene.
The child actor Parth Bhalerao is fantastic.
He stands equal to Big B in the film.
Boman Irani is perfect in the role of a corrupt politician.
Sanjay Mishra is also brilliant in his part.
Other supporting cast of the film is equally good.
 DIRECTION,
CINEMATOGRAPHY AND EDITING:    Nitesh Tiwari, who had earlier co-directed ‘Chillar Party’ has helmed this film very well.
He successfully develops all the characters and has taken out a wonderful job from his actors as well.
But, he only fails in one thing.
Nitesh couldn’t create the fear among the characters of the movie when they come to know about the ghost,
unlike in our real life. Everyone in the film accepts the ghost without any question about the existence of it.
Kamaljeet Negi’s cinematography is fine and editing of Chandrashekhar Prajapati is good.
ACTION, BACKGROUND SCORE AND MUSIC:    Background score in the movie is perfect and Ram Sampath & Meet Bros Anjjan’s music is good.
Yo Yo Honey Singh does an ok job with the music this time.
CHOREOGRAPHY, LOCATIONS AND PRODUCTION VALUE:Ganesh Acharya’s choreography is nice.
Locations used in the film gel well with the theme of the movie. Production value is average.
OUR VERDICT:     Overall; ‘Bhoothnath Returns’ has fresh concept,
funny and natural punches, which tickles your funny bone, especially in the first half.
In this film we also get to see power packed performances of legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and child actor Parth Bhalerao.

youngistaan

youngistaan

CASTING : JACKKY BHAGNANI, FAROOQ SHEIKH, BOMAN IRANI, NEHA SHARMA
PRODUCED BY : VASHU BHAGNANI
WRITTEN BY : SYED AHMAD AFZAL, RAMIZ ILHAM KHAN, MAITREY BAJPAI
DIRECTED BY : SYED AHMAD AFZAL
MUSIC BY : JEET M. GANGULI,SNEHA KHANWALKAR,SHIRAZ UPPAL,SHREE ISSHQ
SYNOPSIS:    Abhimanyu Kaul (Jackky Bhagnani) is working in Japan as a game developer.
He is in a live-in relationship with Anvi (Neha Sharma.
One day he comes to know that his father Dashrath Kaul (Boman Irani)
, who is a Prime Minister of India, is suffering from cancer and he immediately comes to India.
After the death of his Prime Minister father,
his father’s political party proposes Abhimanyu to be the Prime Minister and then Abhimanyu Kaul becomes the Prime Minister of India,
although Anvi strongly opposes his decision.
How Abhimanyu survives as a Prime Minister?
Does Anvi support him?
What he does for the country after becoming the PM?
This is the rest of the story.
STORY,
 SCREENPLAY AND DIALOGUES:
The story of ‘Youngistaan’ is inspired from the event,
when Rajiv Gandhi became the Prime Minister of India,
after Indira Gandhi’s death.
The writers Syed Ahmad Afzal,
Ramiz Ilham Khan and Maitrey Bajpai have incorporated everything,
from scams to resignation of coalition of government,
which exist in the politics of our country.
The problem in the story is that many news channels telecast these things 24 hours,
so there is nothing new or surprising for the audiences.
Same goes for the screenplay.
It couldn't create or develop curiosity amongst the audiences to hook them in the movie.
Also, there is not much ups and downs in the screenplay,
which helps to increase the attention of the audiences and
they can easily find themselves attached to the movie.
The dialogues are fine in the movie.
